CCA Welcomes Three New Members to its Board of Directors

The Council of Canadian Academies (CCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Cynthia E. Milton, Associate Vice-President Research, University of Victoria; Sioban Nelson, RN, FCAHS, Professor, Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto and President-elect, Canadian Academy of Health Sciences; and Proton Rahman, MD, FCAHS, University Research Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University.

At the same time, we would like to offer our sincere thanks to the three Board members whose terms have come to an end: Paul Allison, FCAHS, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, McGill University; Jeremy McNeil, C.M., FRSC, Distinguished University Professor and the Helen Battle Professor of Chemical Ecology, Department of Biology, Western University; and Christopher Simpson, MD, FCAHS, Vice-Dean (Clinical), Faculty of Health Sciences, Queen’s University and Medical Director, Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization.

The CCA’s Board of Directors is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring fulfillment of the CCA’s mandate and overseeing the CCA’s operations.
