Dr. Jennifer MacLean recently joined NGen, the Next Generation Manufacturing Supercluster as the Director of Collaboration. There, she will foster and support industrial collaborations to drive economic impact within Canada. Previously, Dr. MacLean was the Executive Director of SOSCIP, a unique research and development (R&D) consortium based in Ontario which uses advanced computing to drive industry innovation. In this role, Dr. MacLean supported the launch of more than 150 collaborative R&D projects aimed at delivering meaningful outcomes for Canadians and supporting the growth of Canadian companies.

Prior to SOSCIP, Dr. MacLean worked with Mitacs for over five years, serving on their business development and program management teams. She credits her early hands-on work with industry and academic partners with fostering her drive to build effective programming that supports impactful collaborations. Dr. MacLean has a B.Sc. in Genetics and a PhD in Medical Biophysics, both from Western University. She is originally from rural Saskatchewan.
