Many of his research projects (such as the Ontario Augmented Reality Network) develop and support university to public- and private-sector technology transfers and partnerships. He created a corporation to train interactive media entrepreneurs, and with his teams he has produced history websites, games, and simulations. He has published books and articles on the use of computer simulations for history and history teaching and learning, and on Canadian cultural history. He won a 2012 Brock University Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Dr. Kee received both his MA and PhD in History from Queen’s University.
