Marcelline Bangali completed her PhD in the Psychology of Work and Career Guidance at the Institut national d’étude du travail et d’orientation professionnelle of the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers (INETOP-CNAM, Paris). Prior to working in higher education and research, she held several supervisory, coordination, management and project assessment positions in international (UNICEF, ISCOS, IRD) and national (France, Burkina Faso) agencies, as well as psychological counselling roles.

Her research interests include the analysis of the identity reconstruction processes involved in the complex transitions experienced by highly trained people (PhDs and highly trained immigrant workers). Her research work covers such topics as the issue of professional integration of PhD graduates outside academia since 2007 (action-research as part of her PhD work, 2007 to 2011; research grant from the FRQSC, 2015 to 2018), ADESAQ research agreement, 2017-2019) and the counselling services offered to highly trained migrants.

Marcelline Bangali is a principal scientist at the Centre de recherche et d’intervention sur l’éducation et la vie au travail (CRIEVAT) and a research fellow of the Career Guidance Team (INETOP, Paris, France).
