As Chair of the Council’s Expert Panel, Ms. Sendall will work with a multidisciplinary group of experts, to be appointed by the Council, to address the following question: What is the current state of industrial research and development (R&D) in Canada?

The Council’s assessment will examine existing and emerging areas of R&D strength across sectors, how these trends compare globally, and how strength is distributed regionally across Canada.

The Council, under the guidance of its Scientific Advisory Committee, is now beginning to assemble an expert panel to complete this assessment.
