CCA Welcomes Julia M. Wright to its Board of Directors

The Council of Canadian Academies (CCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia M. Wright, PhD, FRSC, to its Board of Directors.

Julia M. Wright is a Professor of English and University Research Professor at Dalhousie University. She is President of the Academy of the Arts and Humanities at the Royal Society of Canada. Wright has been a faculty member at Concordia University, the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, and is currently at Dalhousie University. She has held two tier-2 Canada Research Chairs, one in English and Cultural Studies and one in European Studies. Much of her scholarship is interdisciplinary, examining the staging of debates about national identity and governance in British and Irish literature.
