Kate Hemstreet

Project Coordinator

As a Project Coordinator at the Council of Canadian Academies (CCA), Kate Hemstreet is responsible for the logistics for expert panel meetings and supporting project directors throughout the lifecycle of assessments. More specifically, she manages assessment-related events, assists in the coordination and direction of project materials, and contributes to the production and dissemination of assessment reports.

Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in International Development Studies, a minor in Geography and specializations in African Studies and Teaching at Trent University. She has completed a variety of internships and experiential learning opportunities with not-for-profit organizations focused on civic engagement and public education initiatives both in Canada and abroad, including working at the Northern Sector on Action and Awareness Centre in Tamale, Ghana. Prior to working at the CCA, Kate was Assistant to the Director of the Trent-in-Ghana Study Abroad Program and Conference Services at Trent University. She has been recognized for her contributions to her academic communities, namely as recipient of the Champlain College Principals’ Prize (Trent University) and the Nordstrom Scholarship.

Kate is currently working on the following assessments for the CCA: Public Safety in the Digital Age.
