Catherine Olivier holds a master’s degree in molecular biology and a doctorate in bioethics from the Université de Montreal. From 2013 to 2019, Ms. Olivier worked as a professional in ethical and legal affairs at the Fonds de recherche du Quebec. She joined the lnstitut national d’excellence en sante et en services sociaux (INESSS) in 2019 as a scientific professional in ethics. In 2022, she was appointed scientific coordinator in the Methodologies and Ethics Office, where she coordinates the production of strategic watch on innovation, as well as the ethics, publishing, and scientific information services. Ms. Olivier also holds a clinical adjunct professor position in the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine within the School of Public Health at Université de Montreal. Over the years, Ms. Olivier has worked on a variety of topics including responsible conduct of research, open science, and dual-use research.
