The Council of Canadian Academies (CCA) has been informing decisions and inspiring national discussions since 2006, having published over 45 reports on a wide diversity of topics crucial to Canada. In fiscal year 2017/18, the CCA added three more reports to its library: Older Canadians on the Move; Science Policy: Considerations for Subnational Governments; and The Value of Commercial Marine Shipping to Canada. In early April 2018 we also released, Competing in a Global Economy: The Current State of R&D in Canada. A new assessment on antimicrobial resistance began in September, while work continued over several other projects, and in February 2018, we welcomed an additional $9 million in new funding.
