Bram Noble

Bram Noble is a Professor in the Department of Geography and Planning, jointly appointed in the School of Environment and Sustainability, at the University of Saskatchewan. His research is focused on environmental impact assessment and management. He has particular interests in strategic environmental assessment, regionally-based approaches to cumulative effects assessment and management, and the efficacy of impact assessment.

Dr. Noble is author of Introduction to Environmental Impact Assessment: Guide to Principles and Practice. He has published 70 peer reviewed journal papers on various aspects of environmental assessment, as well as more than 150 book chapters, expository and review articles, technical reports, and conference abstracts. He is also engaged in the professional practice of impact assessment and has been involved in both project and strategic impact assessment applications for First Nations, government and industry. This includes acting as a consultant on impact assessment to various agencies and organizations including the Canadian Council of Ministers of Environment, the Auditor General of Canada-Commissioner of Environmental and Sustainable Development, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, and the governments of Saskatchewan and Alberta.
