David Rudolph is a Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Waterloo specializing in regional hydrogeology and groundwater protection and management. Dr. Rudolph has participated extensively with municipal authorities, both nationally and internationally, in the development of groundwater protection and management strategies. His research applications have focused on assessing the impacts on water quality from agricultural land-use practices. He also heads a Canada-wide research team working on prioritizing risk to water quality from various agricultural practices and evaluating performance of beneficial management practices. He recently served as co-chair of the Canadian Leadership Panel on Sustainable Agriculture through the Canadian Agri-Food Policy Institute. Dr. Rudolph was also recently appointed as Director of the Water Institute at the University of Waterloo, which is designed to integrate all aspects of water research activity taking place at the university.
