Sandra Schillo is an Associate Professor and Co-Lead of the Centre for Sustainable Impact / pour l’impact durable at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, and leads the Inclusive Innovation Research Cluster at the Institute for Science, Society and Policy. Focusing on Innovation Systems, her areas of expertise include research management, technology transfer, science, technology and innovation policy, and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Schillo holds a master’s in engineering management (Diplom in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen) from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany and a PhD in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Kiel, Germany. She has worked for the National Research Council of Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the Conference Board of Canada, and founded a consulting firm before joining the Telfer School of Management as a professor in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Schillo’s recent work addresses societal challenges relating to innovation and entrepreneurship through inclusive and engaged scholarship. She is the co-founder of several initiatives, including MiXR, a digital platform by and for the food and beverage sector, the National Indigenous Women Entrepreneurs’ Ecosystem, and the Inclusive Innovation Hub including its activities on climate action.
