Sean Donnelly

Sean Donnelly is Vice-President Technology and Continuous Improvement at Canada’s largest flat rolled steel producer. In his role, he spearheads the company’s strategic planning, research and development, quality and technology teams as well as efficiency and productivity initiatives.

Mr. Donnelly is instrumental in ArcelorMittal Dofasco’s global benchmarking projects, which has facilities in South America and Europe. He has held various leadership positions with ArcelorMittal Dofasco, including as Galvanized Technology Business Unit Manager; New Product Development Process Owner; General Manager, Market Development and Product Applications; and Director Quality Systems & Manufacturing Technology.

Mr. Donnelly is a director of Baycoat, a paint finishing company and joint venture between ArcelorMittal Dofasco and U.S. Steel, as well as a member of McMaster’s Dean of Engineering Advisory Board and McMaster Innovation Park. He is a member of AIST and a Metallurgical Engineering graduate from McMaster University in Hamilton.
