Sue Gordon is a Research Hydrologist and Groundwater Program Leader at the Alberta Research Council who has over 20 years of consulting, regulatory, and academic experience.
In addition to her current responsibilities, Dr. Gordon serves as the Leader for the Alberta Research Council Integrated Water Management Program and Adjunct Professor at the University of Calgary. Prior to this, Dr. Gordon was a Regional Contaminant Hydrogeologist at Alberta Environment.
Dr. Gordon’s research interests include a multidisciplinary approach to the flow and reaction of chemicals in various groundwater systems and encouraging the integration of strong science into groundwater management policy. She maintains a strong relationship and working partnership with government and industry on many initiatives, including research programs on the fate of emerging chemicals in groundwater, and on past Provincial Groundwater Committees such as Natural Attenuation Guidelines and the Water Working Group for Coal Bed Methane.
Dr. Gordon holds a PhD from the University of Waterloo.
