Canadian Academy of Engineering elects new President

Dr. Michael E. Charles, FCAE, was elected President of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) at CAE’s Annual General Meeting on June 4, 2010.

Dr. Charles is Professor Emeritus and Dean Emeritus of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto. He has been a Fellow of CAE since 1998 and has served on its Board of Directors since 2008.

The Council welcomes Dr. Charles to his new position and looks forward to continuing to work with CAE and its other Member Academies to provide science advice in the public interest.
